Back in the forgotten mists of time from less than a generation ago, the common everyday people actually controlled much of their own lives. The populations of the west elected “representatives” to “represent” the wishes of the people. Those representatives then hired “civil servants” to carry out the work of those wishes. Fast forward to today and those representatives now consider themselves as rulers over the people, and the once civil servants have become a permanent bureaucratic class who don’t even feel the need to listen to the elected rulers. When Ranger swings into talking about some of the “lies found in society” it becomes rather startling to see how a deep lie plays into the subjugation of the population. The common people think the system still works, the managerial class of elected tyrants and power mad bureaucrats become “THEY”. Those folks who would never discuss conspiracy theories which use a “THEY” as in “THEY are sending out secret messages in martian code directly into peoples brains through their fillings” will fill in a “THEY” of their own, when arguing the inherent goodness of the government; as in “there is no way such signals and messages exist, “THEY” wouldn’t allow such nonsense”. Interesting Today around the fire of the Anomie Patrol we take a look at this inversion, and contemplate some history in order to better understand where this may be going for the future. It’s time, past time really, that the normal man stands up to put things back in their normal place before it’s too late; unless you’d like to go back to being a peasant.
